During the 2020/2021 season, AEK Athens had several key players who made significant contributions to the team's performance. Some of the notable players from that season included:

  1. Petros Mantalos: Mantalos, the team's captain and a versatile midfielder, played a crucial role in midfield, contributing with both goals and assists.

  2. Marko Livaja: Livaja, a Croatian forward, was one of the main goal-scoring threats for AEK Athens. He was known for his ability to find the back of the net.

  3. Konstantinos Galanopoulos: Galanopoulos, a Greek midfielder, provided support in the midfield and helped with ball control and distribution.

  4. Andre Simões: The Portuguese midfielder was known for his work rate and ability to break up opposition attacks.

  5. Dmytro Chygrynskiy: The experienced Ukrainian center-back added to the team's defensive stability.

  6. Damian Szymański: Szymański, a Polish midfielder, contributed with his versatility and ability to create scoring opportunities.

On September 14, 2020, AEK Athens secured the services of the 22-year-old international player by paying Beitar Jerusalem €2.6 million for 60% of García's rights, along with additional bonuses. He made an impressive league debut for AEK Athens on September 27, 2020, scoring the opening goal in a 3-0 victory against Lamia.

García continued to shine in his time with AEK Athens. On December 13, 2020, he scored a remarkable direct corner kick goal in a 4-3 away victory over Apollon Smyrnis. He displayed his skills once more on January 14, 2021, by netting a direct free-kick to secure a 1-0 away win against Aris Thessaloniki. Later, on January 20, 2021, he came off the bench to seal a 2-0 home win against Apollon Smyrnis in the first leg of the Greek Cup round of 16.

Although his initial two seasons in Greece did not meet expectations, his career took a significant turn when Matías Almeyda became the club's new coach at the start of the 2022-23 season. Under the guidance of the Argentine coach, Levi underwent a remarkable transformation, evolving into a highly effective striker who harnessed his speed and physical attributes. His adaptability and outstanding performances drew praise, and consequently, several clubs, including Villarreal and Celtic, began monitoring him, with AEK Athens demanding no less than €15,000,000 for his transfer.
