A very rare kit in okay condition. It was manufactuerd by Nike and the size is XL. This 22 year old shirt has some defects to consider, a few barely visible stains in the and some tiny holes. But mostly it looks exactly like the pictures.
During the 2002/03 season, FC Zürich experienced a challenging campaign in the Swiss Super League (formerly known as Nationalliga A) and various cup competitions. Here’s a summary of their performance:
Swiss Super League (Nationalliga A):
- League Performance: FC Zürich struggled throughout the season and finished 6th in the league.
Swiss Cup (Schweizer Cup):
- FC Zürich had an early exit in the Swiss Cup, which was quite disappointing for the team and its fans. Their cup run ended prematurely in the earlier rounds of the tournament, failing to make a deep run.
UEFA Intertoto Cup:
- FC Zürich reached the Third Qualifying Round.
Managerial Changes:
- The season saw significant managerial upheaval. In November 2002, the club parted ways with their coach Marcel Koller, who had been in charge since 1999. He was replaced by Luciano Spalletti, who stayed only a short time before the end of the season. This instability likely contributed to the poor form in the league.
Squad Overview:
- FC Zürich's squad had a mix of experienced and young players, but overall, they lacked the depth and quality to challenge the top teams in Switzerland.
- Key Players: Players like Alain Nef, Alain Rochat, and striker Iulian Filipescu were part of the squad during this period. However, their performances weren’t enough to lift the team to higher league standings.
FC Zürich is one of the most historic and well-known football clubs in Switzerland. Here are some interesting facts about the club:

- The club’s most recent league title came in the 2021/22 season.
3. Cup Specialists:
- FC Zürich is known for their dominance in the Swiss Cup. They have won the tournament a remarkable 10 times, making them one of the most successful clubs in this competition.
4. Historic Rivalry – FC Zürich vs. Grasshoppers (Zurich Derby):
- FC Zürich shares a fierce rivalry with Grasshopper Club Zürich, their city neighbors. This rivalry, known as the Zürich Derby, is one of the most heated and oldest derbies in Swiss football.
