Olympiacos 2007/08 Third kit with Official Kovacevic Print Longsleeve Medium
Olympiacos 2007/08 Third kit with Official Kovacevic Print Longsleeve Medium
Condition: ★★★☆☆
An extremely rare long sleeve kit with the official name print of the Greek Super League top scorer. The size is Medium and it was manufactured by Puma. Up close there is some visible damage to the ''vodafone'' sponsor and some red stain can be seen under it. The nameprint is in good shape with some rough spots. Except these minor flaws this fanela is a holy grail in good shape.
Darko Kovačević, born on November 18, 1973, is a retired Serbian forward known for his impactful football career. He began with Proleter Zrenjanin and achieved success at Red Star Belgrade, winning a Yugoslav League title and two Cups. His subsequent moves included stints at Real Sociedad, and Juventus.
However, Kovačević is particularly recognized for his time at Olympiacos, where he played from 2007 until his retirement in 2009. During his tenure, he won two Greek SuperLeague titles, two Greek Cups, and a Greek Super Cup. His career came to a close after a successful heart surgery, which followed a diagnosis of a blocked artery. Kovačević's legacy continues as he later took on a role as chief scout and sports director for Olympiacos, demonstrating his enduring connection to the club and football in Greece. He also represented Yugoslavia in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000, earning 59 caps and scoring 10 goals for his national team.
